Three-dimensional modeling as a methodological innovation for teaching zoology and as a strategy for environmental education

The great diversity of animals and the relationship between their morphological characteristics, adaptations life strategies are approached in teaching zoology. use innovative alternative methodologies, such as zoological modeling, tools that can contribute to a high interest study zoology it is an environmental education strategy. In this study, modeling intermediated teaching-learning process undergraduate students Biological Sciences course connection practices with extension activities. Twenty-two animal models were built representatives Phylum Arthropoda, Mollusca, Cnidaria Echinodermata, approaching aspects external, internal morphology cycle. perception, viability assimilation construction was analyzed through interviews 40 undergraduates 100 children teenagers, target audience workshops. results showed three-dimensional stimulates activities efficient, awakening curiosity, enabling demystification dissemination essential ecosystem services for conservation biodiversity.
